Reise der Hoffnung (1990)
My Movie Rating:Respiro (2002)
This movie lacks a strong narative. I found it difficult to care for any of the characters and the setting was bleak and unappealing. I assume the point of the film was to show the blandness and suffocatingly mundane lifestyle that many communities endure. It succeeds in doing so, but so what!
My Movie Rating:Return from Witch Mountain (1978)
Typical Disney. Special effects are pretty ordinary but Bette Davis and Christopher Lee seem to enjoy overacting. Ike Eisenmann is in his teens but still manages to provide some diverting visual bonuses.

My Movie Rating:Riri Shushu no subete (2001)
You'll really need to concentrate on this movie. It jumps backwards and forwards in time by a couple of years. I watched it a couple of times to see what all the fuss was about and although it was interesting it failed to leave me with any real sense of having seen something profound.
My Movie Rating:River of No Return (1954)
My Movie Rating:The River Wild (1994)
My Movie Rating:The River (1984)
My Movie Rating:Road to Perdition (2002)
I thought this movie was overrated. Very slick with high level production values but too many unrealistic moments made for style rather than realism. Having Tyler Hoechlin narrate the film was a mistake IMO.
