A portrait of the American farmer, at a time when America's Grain Belt was in danger of going belly up! This IS a fictional story, but it was made the same time the farmers of America were losing everything to the point that the food industry was in real danger of collasping! mel gibson and Sissy Spacek was great! The boy was superb, but as far as I know, this the only thing he ever did as an actor!
