Absolute trash. I would have given this a 1/10 if it weren't for the fact that Jacob Tremblay's performance is very good.

The Saddest Boy in the World (2006)

By the same director as the other short film The Armoire, both of which are available for free on Vimeo. This one is darker and, I suspect, more offensive to people who don't like dark humour. But I laughed out loud in several places. The two films are best viewed together as companion pieces, in my opinion, as they have a similar theme and style.

Saint Ralph (2004)

I'm surprised about the high ratings here. This movie is typical low-budget Canadian garbage, with made-for-TV production values, bad writing and mediocre acting. To top it all off, the director is obviously ripping off Wes Anderson's Rushmore in several ways, which is not only plagiarism but doesn't suit the film at all. The only thing that really makes this worth a look is the cuteness of the lead actor.
