Son of Rambow (2007)
1st movie for both Bill and Will! and they did very well (imo)! The Producer indicated that the success of the movie hinged on Bill Milner and Will Poulter becoming good friends, and they did! I'd bet to this day! I was diappointed that Asa Butterfield only had a bit part that lasted about 30 seconds. I love movies that depict the imagination of boys, and this one doesn't fall short!
My Movie Rating:Song of the South (1946)
A beloved classic! Bobby Driscoll was great as Johnny!
Space Camp (1986)
A cute kids movie, Loosely based on fact, in that. there really was a N.A.S.A. Space Camp! Parts of the movie were filmed on location, but there never was (at least as far as I know) any incident with the Space Shuttle! Leaf Pheniox a.k.a. Joaquinn, did well, and was very cute!
My Movie Rating:Space Raiders (1983)
A stupid and very corny movie! I watched it years ago for one reason, David Mendenhall! one of my favorite boy actors!
My Movie Rating:Stand by Me (1986)
A wonderful movie about friendship and boyhood
"I never had later in life the kind of friends I had when I was 12"~ Richard Dryfuss as the adult Gordon (one of my favorite movie lines)
Star Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menace (1999)
Episodes I, II, and III were to tell the story of star wars from the begining, of how Anakin Skywalker ultimately became Darth Vadar! not to point any fingers, but I think some "Critics" over analize movies, it's just entertainment! watch it and enjoy it! instead of dysecting it! I love the Star Wars story and was thrilled when the 3 additional movies were released!
A Step Toward Tomorrow (1996)
A wonderful story of hope, which, if memory serves, is based on a true story.
My Movie Rating:Stepmom (1998)
I don't like actress Susan Sarandon, she said something in an interview that I was offended by, and I almost didn't watch this movie because of it, but, I fell in love with Liam and have followed his career since! the story was about the relationship between the older Sister and her mother, but Liam has such a screen presence, that for me, he stole the movie!
My Movie Rating:The Stone Boy (1984)
ALL of the actors in this movie rank in my favorites! a great movie, superb acting by all! I believe this was Dean Cain's first movie! Jason held his own up against the strong cast of vetran actors!
The Stupids (1996)
Bug Hall was a delight as the son of Stupid! a "Chip off the ole' Blockhead!" Tom Arnold was funny!
My Movie Rating:Summer of the Monkeys (1998)
A great story based on the book by the same name, written by Wilson Rawls (Where The Red Fern Grows), I read the book many years ago, saw the movie a few years ago, i loved it except for one thing, there was one very funny chapter that wasn't in the movie, the boy goes looking for the Chimps and finds them at a Still, he finds a corn substance that he's not sure about, so he tastes it, and next thing he knows, he's drunk! watch the movie first! then read the book, otherwise, you won't like the movie!
My Movie Rating:Summer's End (1999)
I can relate to Jamie, my Dad was in alot of ways like his older brother, I was watching a talk show one time on Racism, A Black woman in audience stood up and said "Nigger is an ATTITUDE, not a color!" I thought she made alot of sence. My Dad tried for most of my childhood, and even into my adulthood, to get me to hate other Races, but he didn't succede.
This story explores one boy's dicision to do what's right. NO child is born hating, Their taught to hate!
Summerhood (2008)
A fun movie to watch! my fave of the boys was Reckless, played wonderfully by Scott Beaudin! he almost stole the movie, at least for me, especially when he danced to that rap song! my other fave was "Cereal Killer"! ;) I consider this a perfect boymovie!!
My Movie Rating:Super 8 (2011)
Joel Courtney was SUPER! I thought Ryan Lee was watchable too! I love the scene where as the train crashes, The one boy (didn't catch which one) yelled RUN! I'm very into this kind of Sci-Fi, especially if there are boys in them! as far as I'm concerned, Spielberg just doesn't make bad movies! I definitely want this one on DVD! This movie, to me, has become a treasured classic! I now own it on BluRay!
The Swarm (1978)
the boys were great, A decent movie, I saw it recently online!
My Movie Rating:Tarzan (1966-1969)
Saturday morning kids shows just didn't come any better that this!
Tarzan and the Valley of Gold (1966)
I love this movie! I've seen it several times since childhood! Manuel Padilla Jr. went on the star in the Tarzan tv series with Ron Ely! I believe this was Mike Henry's first roll as Tarzan, he made 2 that I know of!
a great family movie! made back when you didn't have to worry what your kids were watching on tv!
Tarzan Finds a Son (1939)
THE best Tarzan movie ever made!
Tea with Mussolini (1999)
To my nice surprise I checked my DVR and this wonderful movie was in it, I had set an Auto-record for it a few months ago!
Charlie handled his part quite well, a very adorable boy!
I gave the movie an 8/10, because I like Charlie! I would have given it a higher rating if Charlie had had more screen time. I do like stories that are based on fact, especially the part of the story where Luca was taken in by those British Ladies, then I think that was the best part of the story! I thought Cher Looked really good for someone nearing her 60's! and for Lilly Tomlin, no matter what roll she plays, she, at least for me, always manages to put a little comic releaf in somewhere! I didn't catch the actor's name of teenage Luca, but I thought he also did very well, and was quite handsome!
Tender Mercies (1983)
Allen was great, as far as I know, he only appeared in this one movie. :(
