Conor Donovan was brilliant in this. I couldn't quite make my mind up about the rest of it though. At times it was harrowing, at times awkward, at times funny - all the basic elements of adolescence. But I couldn't help feeling the funny scenes ended up diluting the overall drama, rather than counterpointing it.

Brilliant portrayal of kids losing their innocence. Scripted very much in the same narrative style as L.I.E., director Michael Cuesta once again perfectly examines the minds of young protagonists and that one moment in life when the world changes forever. Outstanding coming-of-age saga with awesome performances by the young cast. Watch out for it.
