Synopsis
This live-action version of the classic children's story stars Colin Ford as Jack, a student flunking out of fairy tale school who trades his computer for some beans that a pawnbroker swears will make him worthy of fairy tale legend. When the seeds grow into a mighty beanstalk, Jack and his pal, Jillian, climb into the clouds where a giant guards a magic harp.

7 / 10 An enjoyable watch with Colin Ford playing the part of Jack very well indeed. Nice fairy tale atmosphere even if Gilbert Gottfried's whinging got a trifle wearisome at times.

My Movie Rating: 5 / 10 I probably would have given this a 6 if it were only based on the story, but I couldn't stop watching Colin. He was mesmerizing. On that alone, this gets a bump!
