Synopsis
As the narrator Orson Welles explains at the beginning of this movie, a 'McGuffin' is the unexplained event that serves as the starting point of a mystery story. At the start of this story, Homer (Greg Hodges) stumbles across a briefcase full of money; but when he returns with his friends to the place where he found it, they find that it's been replaced by a body! When they return with the local police chief, they find that the body too has vanished, and the police chief refuses to believe them, leaving the boys to find the explanation for this 'double McGuffin' by themselves, in a quest which leads to their becoming entangled in a deadly political assassination plot.
