Synopsis

The original and by now 'classic' albeit low budget TV series filmed in Toronto about the kids who live in Degrassi Street, a working class neighbourhood. Each episode was an individual story and usually had a 'message' that was relevant to kids. The sucess of this series later spawned two very successful follow up series. Degrassi Junior High in the late 1980's and then Degrassi: The Next Generation which began airing in 2001.
