Synopsis
A lonely 13 year old boy named Chris meets a tough-talking daredevil named Joe. They quickly become friends and get along famously, but Joe has been keeping a secret from Chris. Joe is actually a girl named Joanne, and what's more, a tightrope walker in a travelling circus! Initially Chris feels betrayed, but in time he comes to terms with the shocking news and helps Joanne combat a dangerous and threatening step-uncle who wishes to control the young girl's life.
