By the late great Abbas Kiarostami, who made quite a few other excellent fictional films featuring boy actors, including The Experience, A Wedding Suit, The Breaktime and The Bread and Alley, as well as the superb documentary Homework.

I really enjoyed this movie. Imagine a need to send a notebook to a place you know not where. And you, according to this movie, just cannot go directly from one place to the next since it appears groups of people have territorial rights to their piece of land and you cannot travel through there unless you have permission and if you don't well that's another problem. These are the situations confronting this boy as he so desperately is trying to find the owner of this notebook he is carrying.
