Jean Forest

Date of Birth: 27th September 1912
Details of Death: 27th March 1980
Country of Birth: France

Jean Forest was picked up from the streets by Belgian film director Jacques Feyder to debut in his urban realist film "Crainquebille" (1922) as La Souris ('Mouse'). He turned out to be one of the greatest (some would say THE greatest) of the boy actors of the silent screen, particularly remembered for his touching and naturalistic performances in Feyder's three French films: "Crainquebille" (1922), "Visages d'enfants" (1925) and "Gribiche" (1926). As an adult, Jean went on to a career in French radio.
