9 / 10 Barret Oliver really shines in this, his best film. Like Blade Runner, this film asks the question, Can a robot be more human than a human?

A typical all-American movie in which Barret Oliver is very good in his part as the boy robot, Daryl. Not only his acting but the fact Barret has the looks of an intelligent boy adds much to the part. The plot is far fetched to say the least but, overlooking that, the film has much of interest in it.
One might wonder why Daryl, who is a robot after all, has to be dressed when he's on the slab in the science laboratory. Also, thank heavens they didn't cast Danny Corkill in the lead who had a tendency to mumble his lines sometimes.
