Good play by most actors. The story line, however, is rather weak.

A Prayer for Owen Meany is one of my favorite books. I had no clue that this movie was an adaption of it until I saw it. I wondered why they changed the title, or why they didn't just call it "Owen Meany". I later learned that the author was so disapointed with this movie that he demanded the title be changed. I can see why. The book followed the characters through childhood and college. It raised interesting points about God, faith, and American politics, particularly our involvement in Vietnam. I see a lot of members here like the film, and I'd like to be able to judge it on it's own merits. But it hurts to see this happen to such a great book. I would expect a masterpiece, instead I got an after school special.

I like Simon Birch and hes good actor. I seen him on 7th Heaven tv show and he make me laugh. I feel very sadness when he die and wish he can be in more movies. He not able to grow tall and I know how feel to be little when other kids big and tease only bcause are little.

I like both boys in film got good acting.

This movie will make laugh, cheer, and cry. Joseph did a good job acting, but Ian Michael's character drives story, as it should. This movie is a metaphore on lifes ups and downs, Friendship, Family, and how heart, courage, and determination can overcome many, if not most limitations.
