I really enjoyed this movie. The story is true and well told. Jake was believable. This flick is well worth watching.
My Movie Rating: 8 / 1010/10 for Jake! I love him in this movie, he is SO cute! he has a fair amount of screen time. I' m a sucker for boys in Polo T's, and he wears one in a few scenes. I can also relate to his character in the scenes where he was bullied by McMain's Character, thats just the kind of bullying I endured in school. To make a correction to the synopsis, Jim McCormick had been a Speed boat driver in is earlier years, but had a crash in a race, and almost didn't survive, then gave up driving an became the head mechanic. The Hydro-Plane boat was actually owned by the town of Madison, Indiana, ie. "The Miss Madison" Jim McCormick stepped up as the driver only after the the town lost their last driver, and was in danger of not being in the race. I'm sure you've gathered by now, that this movie is based on a true story, it's about Jim McCormick and the town the of Madison, Indiana! That's all I'm going to say about the movie because I don't want to reveal too much, It's well worth a look, if for nothing else, for the adorable Jake Lloyd, for the grown-up actors, Jim Caveasel was outstanding.
