Synopsis
Every year 9 year old Quirin spends the summer holidays with his grandparents in the Bavarian Forest. He is full of anticipation of going fishing with his grandfather. But this summer everything seems to be different: Grandpa is old and sick. Since he stopped catching anything, his will to live has dwindled. When Quirin hears grandpa talking about dying, he is horrified... With a slight wink, this film tells the story of a child who tries to use his imagination to fight death.
