Synopsis
Jo (Noah Schnapp), a young French shepherd boy of around 15 years of age living through World War II, comes across a Jewish man who, whilst awaiting the return of his daughter Anya, helps smuggle Jewish children across the border from southern France into Spain, with the help of his mother-in-law, the Widow Horcada. In order to prove that he can be trusted, Jo begins to help them. But when German soldiers move into his village, things become much more perilous.
