Synopsis
Three Russian schoolboys find that the decisions they take have profound consequences, leading them further and further away from their childhoods.
Notes
- Duration: approx. 24 minutes (22 minutes minus closing credits)
- Written and directed by Alexander Novikov-Yanginov, who is a graduate of the All-Russian State University of Cinematography named after S. A. Gerasimov, the VGIK, which was founded in 1919 and is the oldest film school in the world. The film "Further From Childhood" was the director's graduation work, and won the Audience Award at the 31st VGIK International Film Festival (2011). The next film Novikov-Yanginov was to write and direct would be the 2018 feature "Zvezdy" ("Stars"), which won the award for Best Debut Film at the 2018 International Human Rights Film Festival in Russia.
