The motion picture Sciuscià (SHOESHINE) 1946, is one of the most powerful works of cinema I have ever seen, and experienced, in my entire life. SHOESHINE is simply life. It is broken, torn, and ripped apart life.
The film SHOESHINE is simply life.
I knew that the movie SHOESHINE was fiction, that it was a screenplay created into a film even from a movie studio with sets, and that some of the young actors went on to make other motion pictures. Yet, all that went away evaporating into the universe, and life in its broken forms, permeated, infused, and flooded into the room from the movie screen, and into reality. Tears of sorrow flooded onto my tissue handkerchief. And then once again. And then once again, and then once more.
Here is hope that we will have some good men, and some good women, to correct the injustices of the legal court system. And help the young people in our world.
