Biography

Born in London, Peter Asher (the elder brother of the English actress Jane Asher) was described by John Holmstrom as "a dogged-looking little boy with curly red hair" ("The Moving Picture Boy", p. 247). His biggest part was in "Isn't Life Wonderful!" (AKA "Uncle Willie's Bicycle Shop", 1953). In the 1960s he was to enjoy great success as one half of the pop duo 'Peter and Gordon', before moving to Los Angeles, where he became a successful music producer.
