10 / 10 One of my all time favorites. I only wish Steven had left it alone and not re-edited it after 9-11. The walkie-talkies he substituted for the guns look funny in the end scenes. And the removal of the terrorist word is stilted. Do yourself a favor and find an old edition.

10 / 10 This movie, in my opinion is the ulimate boy movie! I went to see it when it 1st premiered in theaters, I liked so much I went back several times. The story is as much about Elliott as it is E.T.
9/16/2012 I just watched this movie again, after 30 years it's STILL the ultimate boy movie!
