I enjoyed this film as a kid, and enjoyed it all over again recently!
My Movie Rating: 8 / 10 6 / 10 I seen on one of movieplex channels and dont like at all. It got boring and I think got scene way too long and it dont never seem like real at all.

2 / 10 The first hour of this movie is a lot of fun. It's full of the sort of wonder and adventure that most 12 year olds would love. However, the movie completely loses the plot when the boys meet the Aliens. Suddenly the film turns from a sci-fantasy into a ridiculous comedy satire with cartoonish looking rubber aliens that would be more at home on a kiddies TV show like Barney.
My Movie Rating: 5 / 10 What a great movie!! First roles for many young actors, most of whom went on to have great careers. A happy movie, full of action.

Ethan Hawk is cute and very good, but otherwise this movie sucks. It's not very funny for this kind of movie, it's very long and very boring. Too bad.
