7 / 10 9 / 10 Tom Sawyer buddies up with Magwitch in a good-looking film about being a hopeless romantic and about the codes of Southern manhood. Excellent performance from Tye Sheridan.
My Movie Rating: 9 / 10 8 / 10 A fine film with some good acting and good photography. As with most American teen boy movies, there has to be girl characters though in 'Mud' they were thankfully inconsequential. Tye Sheridan's acting was good but not good enough to warrant a BA Oscar nomination. He delivered his lines okay but possibly more facial expression might not have come amiss.
Had I been Mud I couldn't think of two better persons to come to my assistance on the island. Definitely most welcome. At least there was a featurette on its DVD when both Tye and Jacob Lofland were interviewed.

My Movie Rating: 7 / 10 I thoroughly enjoyed this movie! The boys were great, Matthew did and outstanding job, this movie I feel is destined to become a classic, A must see!

My Movie Rating: 8 / 10 Exceptional acting from the two boys. Matthew McConaughey and Sam Shepard were impressive as well. Very good script.
I WAS hoping that the boys would go swimming, but...ah, well.
