I loved it! i was little disappointed that Charlie didn't have any more screen time than he did, but what scenes he had were quite charming! I'm not that much into Classical music, but I do like Tchaikovsky's music, especially "The Nutcracker Suite"

I saw The Nutcracker on DVD with Macauly Caulkin and wasn't as impressed as I am with this movie. The DVD had a great "Making of" feature! It had a couple of moments of Elle, Charlie, and Aaron during leasure time on Set, and clowning around between Takes. This movie was a delight for me, and I highly recommend it for family viewing!

A great film! Elle Fanning was great and Charlie Rowe was great, only he didn't have much screen time. Wonderful cast including Nathan Lane, John Turturro, and Frances de la Tour. I enjoyed that the film did not follow the traditional 'Nutcracker' story. It's its own story. The film is a musical and the plot did seem to drag at times. Still a wonderful film especially one for the holidays.

A film that cannot be faulted on its production values and special effects. They are tremendous and though Elle Fanning takes the lead, she is ably supported by Charlie Rowe looking very princely in his uniform and Aaron Michael Drozin playing her brother, Max. The film, however, has been absolutely panned by the critics. I agree liberties are taken with Tchaikovsky's music but that is to be expected and it still adds great charm to the film. Possibly might have been better if there had been more sugar to the plot and not having it associated with a fascist second half plotline. A beautiful, peaceful country presided over by Charlie Rowe's prince would do me nicely. A great effort but one which lurches between the magical and sometimes downright obscene.

Always nice to see Charlie Rowe. The movie tries very hard to be charming and magical, with very good production values. To me, it only succeeds a little. It is often ponderous and takes some awful liberties with Tchaikovski's music.
