Based on James Vance Marshall's novel. Beautifully portrays the landscapes, plants and animals of the Australian outback...and also offs quite a few of the animals. Very 70s: viewer titillation provided by shots of dewy Jenny Agutter and of Aboriginal women's bare breasts; a snub-nosed little boy in a resplendently traditional school uniform; Noble Savagery.
My Movie Rating: 6 / 10 A very good movie shot in some stunning locals with above average acting and good writting. There are some wonderfully dark plot lines. I consider this movie a must watch. I recommend Walkabout highly.
