Peter Pan is one of those stories that people just keep on making into movies. Some books transfer well to the screen and a few even gain something in the process, but a lot are better off staying books rather than being adapted for film or TV. Happily, as Peter Pan was written to be performed, that problem doesn't arise here. This, its first film version, is as close as we can get to seeing how the original stage play was acted and directed. Betty Bronson was picked by Barrie himself to play Peter.
