5 / 10 Still the best film version of "A Christmas Carol" ever made. And if that doesn't deserve ten stars, then I don't know what does!

10 / 10 9 / 10 Dickens is what the British do best and 'Scrooge' is a fine example. Masterly acting by Alistair Sim as the miser and the scene with Tiny Tim (Glyn Dearman) looking in the shop window beautifully done. I liked the good looking John Charlesworth as Peter.

10 / 10 This is one of the finer movies I've seen in a lifetime. The screenplay adds touches I think Dickens himself would have loved. Perfectly conceived and acted. IMO the 2nd finest screen treatment of a Dickens story, the first being David Lean's 'Great Expectations.'
