Way too sappy. And sap isn't bad every now and then.
My Movie Rating: 4 / 10Lovely performance by Rodrigo Noya but the script is too wordy which mars the enjoyment of the film particularly for those watching subtitled versions.
My Movie Rating: 7 / 10Full of quotable lines from the cute and shrewd title character. For once, I would have liked an english audio version. There was nonstop text on the screen throughout. I had to backtrack if I wanted to catch action or facial expressions. Still a warm and insightful movie though.

Great performances and strong script with a few funny moments. The poster and tagline give the impression this is a sort of romantic comedy with Valentin acting as "Cupid," but that's not really the case until the very end. The film is more about a child recognizing and eventually accepting the imperfections of the adults in his life. Disagree with the subtitle comments, I didn't have any issue following along.
