Air Bud (1997)
My Movie Rating: 6 / 10Aiseu-keki (2006)
My Movie Rating: 7 / 10Akademia pana Kleksa (1984)
What a fun Academy! Colourful fairytale film with some delightful young actors and plenty of visual treats.
My Movie Rating: 8 / 10Akrovates tou kipou (2001)
My Movie Rating: 8 / 10Alexander (2004)
My Movie Rating: 8 / 10Alfons Zitterbacke (1966)
The clothing is the most interesting thing in this movie. Probably worth a look for that alone. Of course the East German location is also of interest as this was filmed during the 'Cold War' years when that part of the world was shut off from the West. As for the movie itself ... it's pretty low budget and unmemorable. Helmut Rossmann is competent and likeable as Alfons but it seems that this may have been his only movie role.

My Movie Rating: 3 / 10Always san-chôme no yûhi (2005)
A lot of Western audiences seem to have reacted rather negatively toward this very successful (in Japan) movie. Cries of overacting and too sentimental, even accusations of propaganda. Well I rather liked it, it has no more 'propaganda' than any typical retro American movie and the acting style and sentimentality is fairly typical of many Japanese films. Give it a try and leave your prejudices behind. Oh and the two boy actors are very appealing.
My Movie Rating: 8 / 10Amanda (1996)
Culkin and Detten stroll through this watchable but unmemorable 'family' movie. The two boys carry the film which is full of the usual predictable and contrived outcomes that movies of this genre tend to wallow in.
