Hook (1991)

Now why the heck didn't Spielberg just DO 'Peter Pan'? Disappointing, cluttered.

I Am Gabriel (2012)

Nothing really to be afraid of, just a religious message which one can take or leave alone. It would be a shame to bypass the experience of watching this angelic looking boy.

Is Anybody There? (2008)

I was disappointed. My own fault, I suppose, since I expected a story more like the one I had made up in my head. Also discouraging was the regional accent factor which had me depending much on subtitles. I should have expected that.

It (1990)

Well, you can't cover everything in a movie. A very chopped-up movie from the only King book I love. Stephen King writes of kids MUCH better than of his far-fetched monsters. Very disappointed in the casting of Richie Tozier.

It Came from the Sky (1999)

10/10 for Kevin, 5/10 for movie as a whole. Kevin is so darn sweet.

Joshua (2007)

Well, Jacob Kogan stole my heart. I was distressed to see the sweet looking boy playing an evil kid.

With that out of the way, I have to agree the movie had too many ambiguities and an incomplete insight into Joshua's character and motives. I was forced to believe Josh was an evil kid from the get-go, a psychopath driven only by pleasure or pain with no conscience. From the DVD commentary, I'm guessing the director and writer tried too hard to be original with their take on the evil kid genre; hence the confusing bits.

Leo (2002)

Davis Sweatt is a very attractive young actor. He does a great job of bringing out the intelligence and vulnerability of his character.

Let's Kill Uncle (1966)

Typical William Castle stuff from the period. But Pat Cardi is fun to watch, even though he is overdressed, even in bed.
