Clownhouse (1988)
My Movie Rating: 7 / 10The Cold Lands (2013)
My Movie Rating: 7 / 10El Color de las nubes (1997)
Would have been much better if there were not so much back-story given by narration.
My Movie Rating: 7 / 10A Cool, Dry Place (1998)
Bobby Moat is cute and charming as all get out and his performance makes this a pretty decent movie for me. This movie made me notice a practice that has become very popular and often annoying in US films, that of playing some folk-songy, ballady plaint over non-dialog scenes. Here, that type of thing really annoyed me by obscuring the sounds of the little boy's laughter in a 'playing outdoors' scene.

My Movie Rating: 7 / 10Desperation (2006)
I really admired Shane Haboucha's work in this. He must have been 14 when the movie was shot and his voice hadn't yet changed, which, happily, suited the character he plays.
I rate the movie based on overall performances and the moviemakers best shot at creating an exciting show. I'm not much interested in Stephen King's theology. He is obviously incapable of imagining a creator less mean-spirited than he is himself.
My Movie Rating: 7 / 10Diary of a Wimpy Kid (2010)
There were some really funny gags in the first half; the rest I found a bit too edgy for me. This movie mostly hits the same humor vein as Malcolm in The Middle, which I had to force myself to like. But I'm old-fashioned: I like to see the bad guys 'get theirs.' In this case, the bad guy is a girl. No more, or I'll spoil everything.
My Movie Rating: 7 / 10Dick Tracy (1990)
My Movie Rating: 7 / 10La Discesa di Aclà a Floristella (1992)
Yeah, a '7' seems about right. Involving, but painful to watch.
My Movie Rating: 7 / 10A Dog of Flanders (1999)
The look of the movie is gorgeous, especially on a computer screen. Art directors, set decorators, and cinematographer did a superb job. The boys are very appealing but the intended highly emotional moments seem curiously flat somehow.
