Synopsis
In the summer of 1970, a man returns to his family in Mississippi after a stint in the Vietnam War, his emotional and psychological scars leave him depressed and alienated. His wife becomes the one forced to struggle to keep food on the table, working double shifts as a waitress and relying on welfare. His children, Stu and Lidia are caught in a battle with a group of neighborhood bullies over a tree house, while trying to escape the pressures of school and life in a small Southern town.

Lucas Black, whom I liked, was quiet in most scenes, but Christopher Fennell was my favorite in this movie. He was great in his mischievous ways.
