Any movie Freddie Bartholomew is in is a great movie. We see him here moving in with his dad and his attempts to get in with a gang was futile. With some boxing lessons he finally got in and now they must find a tombstone for one of the members whose dad was executed by the state. With no money they have to resort to crime and little Freddie came up with a very clever plan on how this can be done. A great movie and a great boy cast!!!
My Movie Rating: 9 / 10Pretty good film in which, for the only time, three of the greatest boy film stars in history appeared together: Freddie Bartholomew at the peak of his career; Mickey Rooney at the start of his; Jackie Cooper on the verge of ageing out of kids' roles. At the time these kids had a star power that is now the exclusive preserve of adult actors.

Not one of Freddie Bartholomew's best but still entertaining. Loved seeing Freddie in his knicker shorts getting boxing lessons. Pity we didn't see him in an actual boxing match.
