I watched this again after several years and I was appalled by the whiny performance of Bartholomew, the simpering mother and the treacly script in general. It felt as if the director were trying to do a parody of Dickens. But thank heaven for the presence of W.C. Fields and Edna May Oliver.
My Movie Rating: 5 / 10I seen old film on TCM. I like very old film this one better than two newer films I seen when I was eleven or twelve.
I like barkus in films and when he say "Barkus is willin".
This old film dont got no color but it is best of films I see of this story.
