Synopsis
A writer arrives in a village at the same time the grandfather of a boy named Seryozha dies. The boy is left alone, as his parents are working in Brazil. The writer, with the best of intentions, suggests to the authorities that they take him to an orphanage. Seryozha escapes and hides with the help of his grandmother. Soon the writer's daughter arrives in the village to visit and joins in the search for the runaway boy.
