Synopsis
Sequel to 'Boys Town' (1938). Reunites Spencer Tracy with Mickey Rooney. Wealthy, Mr. and Mrs. Maitland give crippled Ted a dog and offer to provide him with an operation but they adopt Whitey. Whitey tries to visit a friend in reform school and inmate Flip is hiding in the car as Whitey leaves. Flip steals money from a store and both boys are sent to reform school. Father Flanagan exposes the conditions in the school and the boys are released to him.

6 / 10 7 / 10 Unrestrained nonstop sentiment; too syrupy even for me. But it is worth it to see little Darryl Hickman in the 2nd half. Incredibly cute.
(also interesting to see that in 1941 an actor could tell a boy that he has beautiful eyes.)
