Synopsis
Two brothers who share an isolated rural home with their grandmother have a difficult relationship.

- Running time: approximately 10 1/2 minutes
- Written and directed by American filmmaker Robert Eggers (b. 1983), this short movie was made when Eggers was seeking financing for The VVitch: A New-England Folktale (2015), and his producers suggested that he make a short 'proof of concept' film that, in Eggers' words, "had scary woods, starred children, and had naturalistic performances."

7 / 10 5 / 10 The plot's nothing we haven't seen before in a short film starring boy actors, but Eggers puts his own stamp on it; there's a shot of the woods waiting for the boys that could have come from The VVitch, and some original touches, such as our never seeing the grandmother's face fully.
