Synopsis

A sentient extraterrestrial robot called an 'autobot' is sent to Earth, where it disguises itself as a battered yellow Volkswagen Beetle car. When teenage girl Charlie tries to repair the car, it transforms back into an autobot, whom Charlie befriends and nicknames Bumblebee; and with the assistance of her younger brother Otis (Jason Drucker), Charlie helps Bumblebee fight the malevolent robot Decepticons.

Notes

This is the sixth film in the 'Transformers' film series, which was based on the Transformers media franchise. The Transformers franchise began in 1984 with a line of toys jointly produced by American and Japanese manufacturers, and which then grew to encompass other media such as comics, an animated television series, an animated film, and video games, as the manufacturers sought new ways to market their product.
