Synopsis

After witnessing the expulsion of Adam and Eve from Paradise, followed by some of the darker periods in man's history, a black-caped heavenly emissary sends a small, football-helmeted boy, Pafnucio (Pablo Corkidi), in search of a woman to bear the new Messiah.

Notes

Directed by Rafael Corkidi (1930?2013), who was the cinematographer of such films as El Topo (1970) and "The Holy Mountain" (1973). Corkidi cast his own son, Pablo, in the central role of Pafnucio.
Volume 20, Number 1 of the "Mexican Film Bulletin" (PDF link below), as well as containing an obituary of Rafael Corkidi (p. 2), has an illuminating analysis of "Pafnucio Santo" (pp. 8-9), as well as analyses of Corkidi's other films.
