Synopsis

The honourable and peace-loving Cheyenne chief Brave Eagle (Keith Larsen) protects his tribe whilst seeking to prevent war with other tribes as well as the encroachment of white settlers on Cheyenne territory, with the help of his adopted son Keena (Anthony Numkena), and unconvincing love interest Morning Star (Kim Winona).

Comprising a single season of 26 episodes
This TV series was unconventional in that it reflected the Native American viewpoint on the settlement of the American West; and it was also the first series to feature an American Indian as a lead character (though Keith Larsen, who played Brave Eagle, was himself of Norwegian descent).
For this series, boy actor Anthony Numkena - who was a genuine Native American - was credited as Keena Numkena.
