Synopsis
In a remote corner of the Western Australian coast in the 1970s, two teenage boys - Pikelet (Samson Coulter) and Loonie (Ben Spence) - form an unlikely friendship with Sando, a mysterious older surfer who challenges them to take greater risks.

- Based on the 2008 novel of the same name by Australian author Tim Winton (b. 1960)
- In a 2018 interview, Samson Coulter and Ben Spence revealed that they were 16 and 15 years old respectively at the time of shooting the film.
- For this, his debut feature, director Simon Baker won the 2018 Australian Directors Guild Award for 'Best Direction in a Feature Film'.
