Synopsis
11-year-old Alistair Fury (Jonathan Mason), who lives at 47 Atrocity Road, forms a secret gang called 'The Revengers'. With their help, Alistair plots revenge against his family for the various slights and indignities to which he has been subject. Unfortunately for him, these 'revenges' frequently come back to haunt him in a comical turn of events that leaves him in a worse situation than when he started!
Notes
- Based on the series of books "The War Diaries of Alistair Fury" (six volumes, first published 2002-2004) by children's author Jamie Rix (b. 1958), the book series was subsequently reissued (2008) as "The Revenge Files of Alistair Fury" to tie in with the television series
- Comprising only a single season of 13 episodes of approximately 25 minutes each
- Winner of the 2008 BAFTA Children's Award for Best Drama
- The opening title sequence for this series is a pastiche of the famous promotional film clip for Bob Dylan's 1965 song "Subterranean Homesick Blues".
