THIS movie is the offical version of what happened! When Gregory K won his case, the allowed him to legally change his name to Shawn Russ! Shawn endorsed this movie as what actually happened, the other movie was compiled of half truths and conjecture, gathered from news reports! The Media kept calling this case a "Divorce", it was more than simply a divorce, in a divorce the plantiff must prove irreconsilable differences, in Shawn's case, he HAD to prove his Natural Mother an unfit parent, His Natural Father signed off because he knew that's what the boy wanted, He wasn't the Jerk the other movie had made him out to be! And Shawn wanted that to be known. This is a wonderful movie! you'll find yourself cheering for Shawn when he wins the case! Shawn said he wanted to tell his story so other kids in simular situations would maybe find the courage to do something about it!

A squeaky clean all-American family adopting Sean (and who wouldn't want to adopt Tom Guiry?) made famous as being the first time a child had sued his parents for divorce. Guiry's performance is good as he portrays all the emotions his character has to go through.
