Notes
- AKA "My Apprenticeship", "Out in the World" and "On His Own", the Russian title of the film translates literally as "Among People". The film is based on the 1916 autobiographical work of the same name by Maxim Gorky (1868-1936).
- The second of a trilogy of films directed by Mark Donskoy based on the autobiographical works of Maxim Gorky, preceded by Detstvo Gorkogo (1938) and succeeded by "Moi universitety" ("My Universities", 1940).
