9 / 10 Very well made independent film, Bretten Lord was phenomenal.

9 / 10 The central friendship is perhaps a bit underdeveloped but this is nonetheless a good and likeable movie that deserved wider distribution than it got. The director, Dan Hartley, who worked on the Harry Potter films, based the story loosely on his own childhood friendship with a park ranger in the Dales. Good performances from Bretten Lord, who'd only ever acted in local theatre groups before, and from Alan Gibson, who'd only ever been a pantomime dame once!
