Synopsis
From Thomas Hughes' novel. The setting is Rugby, a boys boarding school in Victorian England. This US version focuses on the headmaster in his effort to raise the standard of the school. Tom Brown is a new boy at school who is bullied by senior boy Flashman.

7 / 10 8 / 10 7 / 10 We ARE going back! I saw it as a boy and have very good memories of a story well-told but I would have to look again to rate the boy actors fairly.
My Movie Rating: 8 / 10 Still a decent movie 60 years after it was made. Cedric Hardwicke is great and Bartholomew is always worth watching. He could act.
