Synopsis
Wealthy 12-year-old Mayito has everything; loving parents, home-cooked meals, and most recently, the latest PlayStation. His classmate Carlos comes from a low-class district where he cleans and sells empty beer bottles just so he can save enough money to buy the kite of his dreams. When Mayito steps into the impoverished community for the first time, he discovers a strange new world. Carlos? humble lifestyle both shatters Mayito?s notion of ?normal? and entices him to experience it himself.

8 / 10 A touch formulaic, but heartfelt and likeable. The young actors were all participants in a youth theatre workshop in Havana, and they do a great job. Overall highly recommended. Could make a good dual watch with De cierta manera, Retrato de Teresa and To Dance Like a Man.
