Synopsis
One day 10 year old Jojo brings a baby jackdaw home and hides it from his father, who doesn't like having birds in the house. Every now and then Jojo secretly calls his mother but doesn't tell her about the jackdaw, which is a surprise for her upcoming birthday. Jojo's father prefers not to celebrate the birthday of someone who is not present. Jojo has to be very careful with his father's violent mood swings and yet find a way to break down the walls surrounding his heart.

Realistic and intelligent with lovely camerawork and an excellent performance by Rick Lens.
