Synopsis
After his mother's death, 12-year-old Jaya is sent to his father, Johar, who works on a jermal -- a fishing platform on log stilts in the middle of the sea. But Johar's shocked to learn he has a son and initially rejects the boy as his kin. Shunned by his father and relentlessly bullied by the other boys who work on the jermal, Jaya decides to take fate into his own hands, while Johar tries to face and accept his past.
