Synopsis
Bart has only one enemy in the world, his piano teacher Dr. Terwilliker. Dr. T has a mad plan to force 500 young boys to practice at his magnificent piano 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Bart is the only hope to save these boys from enslavery. Fantastic sets, screenplay, and even song lyrics were provided by Dr. Seuss. Includes the only piano academy known to ever be equipped with cells and surrounded by an electric fence.

7 / 10 I don't know how this movie has flown under my radar for so long! I just watched it for the first time ever, wonderful set designs by Seuss, it's easy to see his artful touch! which was prevalent in all of his productions, animated as well as live action! Tommy Rettig WAS an original cutie! I love his toothy grin! I especially liked the scene with the Plumber in the Armchair. Now I know how one of our Moderators chose his screen name! A fun movie to watch, with only one reservation, I thought the main dance number was a bit too long, over than that I loved the movie! SO MANY BOYS!!
My Movie Rating: 8 / 10 A very odd film, but I liked it. Tommy Rettig is excellent in this 50's film. Hans Conried was excellent too.
My Movie Rating: 7 / 10 7 / 10 sorry but i diid no tlike this too much. why i thought parts were cute it fetlt like it went on too long even at its short 83 miutes. the Tommy Rettig did a great job thou even if he spend shalf the movie peering around corners wathcing others.
