Synopsis

Young Pablo lives with his emotionally disconnected mother in a cheap Paris hotel. She takes off whenever she pleases, leaving her 11-year-old son to fend for himself among the cafes where mother and son are known only too well. When she deserts him once again, Pablo decides he has had it. He convinces Louis, a down-on-his-luck poker player, to drive him to Spain to search for the man who could be his father.

Kabouter

The ought to be a sub genre in coming of age movies where the boy and man bond. This is one of those movies. I loved it.

Diego Mestanza is excellent in this low budget movie. Very well done 'road trip' movie shot on video. I loved the ending. Worth a look.
